Fitchburg MA and Leominster MA Daily News.- Mr. Luis Alfredo Galarza Freile the ex-president of the Hispanic American Center of Leominster MA, died Jan 2. in UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester MA, at age of 73 he use to live in 103 Wanoosnoc Road with his younger son Luis E. Galarza and his doughter-in-law Mrs. Omayra Maldonado.
Mr. Luis Alfredo Galarza Freile was born Dec. 24, 1933 in the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador, the son of Victorino and Carlota (Freile) Galarza.
Mr. Luis Alfredo Galarza Freile was council president and on The Board of Directors for the Spanish-American Center of Leominster MA. Formerly he had been the treasurer for the Spanish-American Center of Fitchburg MA. Prior to moving to the United States he had been a vice president of the Banco de Londres (Londond Bank of Ecuador) and had been the general manager of Casatosi Department Store both in Guayaquil.
He was a example for many of us. He leaves his wife of 30 years, Sonnia (Ramirez) Galarza; four sons, Luis E. Galarza and his wife, Omayra, of Leominster, Luis Alfredo Galarza Jr. of Fitchburg, Luis Arturo Galarza and his wife, Lourdes, of Meriden, Conn., and Roberto Loaiza of Meriden, Conn.; four daughters, Karla and her husband, Jose Ortiz, of Glendale, Ariz., Luz and her husband, Jorge Perez, of Fitchburg, Gladys Galarza of Fitchburg and Yancina Galarza of Guayaquil, Ecuador; four brothers, Luis Galarza of Meriden, Conn., and Arturo and Jorge Galarza, both in Ecuador; 10 grandchildren, Maritza and Jorgito Perez, Viviana, Kelvin, Karina, Kristty Naomi Galarza, Jadey Trinity Galarza, William and Giovanni Galarza, and Marcos X. Ortiz; three great-grandsons, Jaiel Berdecia, and Javien and Jaziel Rivera.
LUIS ALFREDO GALARZA FREILE -- Calling hours will be held Thursday, Jan. 4, from 2 to 4 p.m., and from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Aubuchon-Moorcroft Funeral Home, 132 Woodland St., Fitchburg MA. Services will be held during the evening calling hours. Burial will take place after cremation in Forest Hill Cemetery Fitchburg.

Galarza and his doughter-in-law Mrs. Omayra Maldonado.

Years ago he had been the treasurer for the Spanish-American Center of Fitchburg MA. place that he helped put in order, and clean the bad people from the adminstration. Prior to moving to the United States he had been a vice president of the Banco de Londres (Londond Bank of Ecuador) and had been the general manager of Casatosi Department Store (Store like SEAR) both in Guayaquil.
He was the kind of person that always want to help others... Good bye Mr. Luis Alfredo Galarza Freile.
