Design Activities With Lego, Knex, Zoob And Uberstix
Fitchburg and Leominster MA Daily Events News, Presented By The Speed Reading University. - Want an local event that will challenge your child's creativity, well this is it! From January 13th to September 8th, 2012, the Mall at Rockingham Park in Salem, New Hampshire will host a daily creativity activities, where your kids will be able to design custom buildings with Knex, Uberstix, Legos, Zoob, and a bunch of other building toys.
Kids are open to build whatever they want from robots, buildings, cars that can actually be race with the families. Also, they can make handbags with Lego blocks. Plus, they will be learning many factual science, engineering, math, and technology theories that are great to inspire their minds.

Donate To The Southeast School Spaghetti Supper Raffle
Fitchburg and Leominster MA Daily Events News, Presented By The Speed Reading University. -
To all parents and guardians the school want to let you know that once again, the 5th grade will be donating a themed gift basket to the Southeast Spaghetti Supper raffle on Thursday, April 12th, 2012. To make their basket a success, they need your help to donate money or items!
This year, the 5th grade is assembling a gift basket with the theme of Beach Fun. Items that they need to fill the basket include:
- Sun screen.
- Flip flops or sandals.
- Sunglaseses.
- Beach balls or toys.
- Towels.
- Shovels, pails, sand forms, etc.
- First aid kit.
- Reusable plates, utensils.
- Beach bags.
- Whatever else would help to make a day at the beach fun!
It's easy to donate. Just send any items in with your child to give his/her homeroom teacher by Tuesday, April 10th.
The school wants to thank in advance, and they hope to see you at the spaghetti supper!

The Southeast staff and P.T.O. are sponsoring their annual Spaghetti Supper on Thursday, April 12th. 2012 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Please join the school staff for an evening of family enjoyment.
Ticket prices are: $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for seniors and students.

February 2012 Adolescent Drug Awareness Event At The Leominster High School
Fitchburg and Leominster MA Daily Events News, Presented By At-Home Drug Withdrawal Program. - You are invited to attend the 'Get Smart - Take Action - Adolescent Drug Awareness Event' which is going to be held at the Leominster High School's auditorium on February 8th, 2012.
The event is going to be divided in three parts, the first one starting at 6:00 to 6:30 P.M., for information, vendors, and resources. The second part will start a 6:30 - 7:45 P.M., which is the time when the guest speakers will discuss alcohol, social host liability, nicotine products, trends and drug use, plus symptoms and much more...
Here is a list of some of the guest speaker:

- Sheriff Lewis G. Evangelids, Worcester County.
- Jose Rivera, Health Communities.

Leominster Library Big Read Event Begins This February

If you love reading this is a perfect opportunity to meet other people in the local area with the same passion.
The book that is going to be in discussion is 'To Kill a Mockingbird' from Pulitzer-prize novel winner Harper Lee.
This event is results of a project created by the Art Midwest in partnership with the National Endowmentfor the Arts. This program is going to be host in over 70 other organizations in the country.

2011 Southeast School Fall Family Dance

These are ongoing all summer events provided by the Project Apples Community Garden at Sholan Farms. If you need more information, don't hesitate to call:
JUNE.
7th.- Parent Workshop title "How to Ease Transitions For Children." At 6pm at the United Methodist Church located on 77 Hall St. (most location are in Leominster).
9th.- Family Fun Night Finale at the Public Library, at 6pm Children's Concert.
14th.- Parent Workshop title "Guiding Baby - The First Year of Life." Will be held at Fidelity Bank at 6:00 pm..
21th.- Art activity title "Let's Gogh Art Family Fun Night." At Priest St. School at 6:00 pm..
25th.- From 1:00 to 5:00 pm. you need to be on Downtown for this year Leominster MA summer stroll, and here your child can be part on Face Painting with Project Apples friends.
JULY.
13th.- At 10:00 am. you can participate on Family Hike at Barret Pond. The host hiker will be Judith Summer from the Leominster Recreation Department. They will walk around the pond, discover some living pond creatures, and draw a picture of for their special book.
15th.- At 10:00 am. the Playground Walk & Play Date will be open. Enjoy the new playground at Fournier Field on Litchfield St./ Take an easy walk around the park, create some art and enjoy the beautiful, new playground in our city.
20th.- At 10:00 am. you can got for another exited adventure with Family Hike at Sholan Farms. An easy hike around the Apple Orchard. Your host hike leader will be Joanne Dinardo. Related story and craft to follow.
25th - 29th. - Children in grade k-8 are invited to attend MASS (Music, Art, Sports, and Science Week) week United Methologist Church, some relogious based activies, Project Apples will be assisting with art activities. Leominster Special Education Parent Advisory Council Event: Bullying & Teasing

Join the local community as the Peter Pan Center of Harvard, MA., presents how we look at the role each player has in the bullying circle: the bully, henchmen, supporters, passive supporters, disengaged onlookers, possible defenders and defenders. There will be discussion of ways to help all children involved in the bullying circle; reasons why some children present a greater target for bullies and how to help personally empower kids to stick up for themselves as well as what can be done to help a bully change his or her behavior.

Spirit Week Events In Local Public Schools
Fitchburg and Leominster MA Events News, Presented By The Waste Oil Heater Site. - Every year local schools have in-house events for their students one of those fun programs is the Spirit Week Events. Below are what students need to do to participate on the fun (please ask school to see they are participating):
- Monday, 4/11: Is Collage Day, support your favorite alma matter by wearing their colors!
- Tuesday, 4/12: It's Career Day, dress up as your dream career! (NOT Halloween costumes!).
- Wednesday, 4/13: Wacky Wednesday, whether you're mismatched or backwards, be wild!
- Thursday, 4/14: It's Hat Day, wear your best caps!
- Friday, 4/15: Southeast Spirit Day, Southeast School students can support their Southeast Dragons and wear blue and white! Other schools can wear their colors.
Throughout the week, the Penny Wars will be waged. Pennies in your grade level's bucket makes your score go up. Silver coins in any other grade level's bucket make their score go down. Pancake Bunny Breakfast At The Leominster High School Cafeteria
Fitchburg and Leominster MA Events News, Presented By The Waste Oil Heater Site. - On Saturday April 16th 2011, the Pancake Bunny Breakfast event will be held at the Leominster High School cafeteria. They will serve pancakes, sausage, juice, and coffee, the program will start form 9:00 AM. to 11:00 AM., tickets will cost $5 for all residents.
Also, there will be an Easter Egg Hunt for children under 12 with ticket, plus coloring, games, music, win candy, prizes, surprises, and much more...

- 5 to 12 Hunt at 10:15 am..
Come to have your kids take picture with the Easter Bunny, this is free, but you have to bring your own camera.

Fitchburg and Leominster MA Event News, Presented By The Internet Marketing For Newbies Blog. - The Leominster Sportman's Association celebrated its 125th anniversary from 11 am. to 1 pm. at the outdoor range located on 1455 Elm St., Leominster. John M. Browing's .45 automatic pistol became the standard sidearm for the army over 100 years ago. To be part of this event you needed your own .45 from 1911 or close, three magazines if you posses them, 50 bullets, protection gear for your eyes and ears. Also custom were accepted, the whole thing was only $5.
Also, locals celebrated Women's History Month with "Girl Power: The Supremes as Cultural Icons", at 2 pm. at the Public Library located on 30 West Street. People joined the pop cultural historian and music journalist Tom Ingrassia as he explored the immense popularity and impact of the the group in the 1960s and 1970s, and why their accomplishments are still important today. The event included audio, video, and lecture format. The program was free, you can call 978-534-7522, Ext. 3 for more information.

The Leominster Sportsmen Association Celebrates 125th Year Anniversary
Fitchburg and Leominster MA Parents Business Event News, Presented By The Today Headline News Blog. - We just got a notice inviting us to the 125th year anniversary of The Leominster Sportsmen's Association, will start at 11 AM. to 1 PM. Sunday, March 27th at the outdoor range at 1455 Elm St., in Leominster Mass.
The history tells us that one hundred years ago, the U.S. Army adopted John M. Browning's .45 Automatic Colt Pistol to replace the revolver as its standard sidearm. You will need your .45, any kind from 1911, three magazines if you have them, 50 rounds of ammo, eye and ear protection.
You can also go dress in historical garb if you want to. You need to pay $5 for admission.
