MASSACHUSETTS NEWS: What is the best bargain: electric or gas heating in Massachusetts?

By The Twin Cities Daily News Blog

Massachusetts News.- A lot of people will said that electric heating is always better until we get the oil in Iraq.

Electric and oil (If the Iraq problem is fix, if not go for Electric) heating is the more economical choice. The main problem with natural gas is that the price fluctuates (usually on the expensive side) and causes elderly people who live on fixed incomes to sit in their houses curled in little balls afraid to turn on the heat because they won't be able to afford their medication. (unfortunately this causes many elderly people to die).

A oil ex-employee said to us "I used to work for PETRO the largest home heating oil company on the Eastern seaboard of USA... But I don't anymore, so my personal opinion is that electric heating is cheaper. The cost of home heating oil has gone up by about 2.5 times the price it was a year and a half ago! That's crazy!

If you live in Fitchburg Mass avoid completely gas heating and cooking for your home or business, and try to stay with electric applainces. Because even Fitchburg's electricity is way more expensive than other towns, or simply move to Leominster... Now if you live in Leominster Mass. you would save a ton of money if you stick to electricity, which is way cheaper than Fitchburg's.
