Fitchburg and Leominster MA Business News. - Last week Facebook told the press that decide to disable a feature that let users share their address and phone numbers with outside websites and web applications (apps). They agree to do this after getting bad feedback from security experts.
The giant social media network said it's making changes to ensure that users share information only when they agree to. Graham Cluley, a senior technology consultant at security firm Sophos, had warned that rogue applications that post spam or collect cellphone numbers to make unwanted calls could gather user's data.
Do you share your information with Facebook apps?
