Many People Smell There Food Before They Eat It [Poll Results]
Fitchburg and Leominster MA Entertainment News, Presented By The Waste Oil Heater Site. - A recent poll results reveals that an average of 26% of people like to smell their food before they eat it, even knowing that this is consider a very bad and polite-less behavior.
Below are the results from a survey CNN made to over 4,116 people, asking them if they smell their food before eating:
- 26% said they always do it, because it adds to the experience.
- 22% said yes, they do, because they want to make sure it's good to eat2.
- 14% said they do it because if they can already tell it'll smell great, it enhances the taste.
- 14% said they do it only if it seems like an ingredient might be rotten.
- 8% said that is a habit, but it doesn't have anything to do with the experience or safety.
- 9% said they don't do it, but maybe they'll try it.
- 6% said that's just weird habit.
- 1% answer with 'other'.
