Verizon Settle Case By Paying $93.5 Million


Fitchburg and Leominster MA News, Presented By The Justin Bieber Silly Bandz Store. - $93.5 million was paid by Verizon to settle accusations that is overcharge the federal government, the Justice Department reported.

This lawsuit was file in 2007 by Stephen Shea, an 'alert alarm,' and reported overbilling as far back as 1999, first by infamous MCI and later by Verizon, which purchase MCI in 2006.Verizon spoke man Peter Lucht said:
"This settlement concludes efforts by both parties to resolve this dispute amicably, without further litigation."

If they do that to the government, what can they do to consumers? Something to think about....
