Leominster Library Big Read Event Begins This February

Fitchburg and Leominster MA Daily Events News, Presented By The Speed Reading University. - The Leominster Public Library is calling to all book lovers and book club or groups to join this February 2012 event called "Big Read." If you love reading this is a perfect opportunity to meet other people in the local area with the same passion.

The book that is going to be in discussion is 'To Kill a Mockingbird' from Pulitzer-prize novel winner Harper Lee.

This event is results of a project created by the Art Midwest in partnership with the National Endowmentfor the Arts. This program is going to be host in over 70 other organizations in the country.

Fitchburg and Leominster MA Business News. - Did you know that telecommunication company EchoStar will buy satellite Internet services comapny Hughes Communications for about $1.34 billion, the corporate spoke person said. EchoStar is very happy with the deal which worth $2 billion including their debts.

Also, ambulance services provider Emergency Medical Services had agreed to sell the company to a private-equity firm Clayton Dubilier & Rice for $64 a share, which is about $3.2 billion.

In the automobile industry news, General Motors will pay more than $189 million in profit-sharing to 48,000 U.S. hourly workers and million more in bonuses to salaried employees, according to company documents obtained by the Associated Press.
